Marie-Eve has an incompetent cervix – which means it can open during pregnancy causing premature births.  But she and partner Jean-Michel didn’t find out until her 1^st pregnancy.  Despite all efforts, their son was born at 24 weeks and died in their arms.  With the help of a surgical procedure and bed rest, a daughter was born a year later.  As they await a 2^nd  daughter, Marie-Eve must remain on her back again to avoid another miscarriage. And the girls will always be reminded of their deceased brother.
