Children from single parent families grow up fast – that’s just the way it is. I know because I became a single mother when my son Zaz was 4 years old, and witnessed first hand how he grew increasingly mature when compared to his peers from intact families. This story is inspired by moments we shared and some of the issues we faced.
But it dives deeper, into a darker zone – into the issue of child labor. Although this in not as common in North America, it is a harsh reality for many kids around the world. But can we really be sure it isn’t happening here?
